Job Resource Center Events
The Job Resource Center offers a variety of virtual workshops for current students, including topics such as Highly Successful Resumes and Cover Letters, Interviewing Strategies, Job Search, Techniques, How to Pursue an Internship and many others. A list of upcoming workshops and other events can be found on College Central Network. To register, current students must create an account on College Central Network. Under “Programs and Events”, select the desired workshop and click on “Sign up”.

The mission of the Job Resource Center is to prepare and connect students, alumni and community members for the world of work through job and internship opportunities, as well as assist employers in the recruitment and retention of their next great hire.
Our mission is accomplished by providing comprehensive education of employment issues; excellent employer, faculty and staff relations; job and internship listings; student and alumni appointments; workshops and presentations; job and internship fairs; and other career-related events to enhance the successful pursuit of employment and internship opportunities.
The Job Resource Center Internship Program at Moraine Valley provides current Moraine Valley students an opportunity to pursue a supervised short-term, real-world, hands-on work experience during the summer, 秋季或春季学期.
To be eligible for an internship, students must meet the following:
- Current Moraine Valley student in credit courses
- Completed one academic college semester at Moraine Valley
- Be in good academic (2.0 or better GPA) and good student standing
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States*
- Register on College Central Network
- Follow steps to being approved to view internships

Disney College Program
The Disney College Program with Walt Disney World and Disneyland offers a one-of-a-kind internship that combines education opportunities and work experience while living in Florida or California for 5-8 months. Student employment is an integral part of the efficient operation of campus programs and offices. It provides career development opportunities for student employees, enhances a student’s educational experience by developing self-awareness and self-esteem, providing information about personal strengths and weaknesses, and offering opportunities to experience significant work relations with a variety of people.

- Student employees must be enrolled at least half-time, which is 6 credit hours for budgeted and work-study student employees during the Fall/Spring semesters. During the summer semester, student employees must be enrolled 3 credit hours for budgeted and for work-study student employees.
- Student employees must have a 2.0 G.P.A.

Participate in Career Events
Our office hosts various career-related events, including Job and Internship Fairs, Mock Interview Days, panel discussions and special class presentations. Our Job and Internship fairs offer a fast, effective way to connect with hundreds of prepared job seekers and fulfill your hiring needs. The fairs are open to students, alumni and community members. Register to get a spot at one of our upcoming Job Fairs.
List a Position
Powered by College Central Network, this Internet-based job listing service allows you to directly post your job openings to Moraine Valley Community College and 12 area community colleges. You must register to obtain a password. Commission-only and undisclosed third-party recruiter positions will not be posted. Learn more in the CCN Employer Registration Guide.
Students can contribute positively to your workplace while acquiring on-the-job experience.
Recruit on Campus
Reserve space in select, high-traffic locations on campus to discuss job opportunities with students. Tables are scheduled typically two weeks in advance to ensure maximum publicity for your visit.
Nontraditional Careers Program
This program creates exposure and provides information about non-traditional careers, such as women in welding and men in nursing. Resources include a panel discussion, workshops, literature and website.
Sponsorship and Donor Opportunities
Donations to the Job Resource Center are a wonderful avenue for your organization to support the Job Resource Center’s mission and invest in your next great hire. You can invest those we serve and your future workforce through a contribution which helps support and enhance the Job Resource Center’s programs of connecting students, alumni and community members to job and internship opportunities. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
